Season 1, Episode 8 - The Avengers Commentary

Two podcasts in one week.  I do believe I'm on a roll here.

This one is a request from two friends of mine - Buruk Drade and James the Movie Reviewer - and it was probably the most fun commentary I've done so far (especially when I was talking about a bug zapper...but I'll let you listen to that part yourself =P).  I also tried to up the volume on this recording so I don't sound like I'm mumbling, and I think it sounds quite a bit better.  Fingers crossed that it works.

Here's a look at my tentative podcasting schedule, for those of you who are interested:

 - Star Wars, Episode IV: A New Hope
 - Star Wars, Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
 - Star Wars, Episode VI: Return of the Jedi
 - The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

If there's a movie you'd like to hear me comment on, then totally send me your requests either through the comment boxes here or through e-mail (  I do ask, though, that all requests be basically clean and appropriate for virtually everyone to watch (so that means nothing rated R, very little language, no sexual content, etc.).  Basically if you wouldn't be comfortable with your eight year old sister or brother watching it, then don't request it.  Otherwise, anything else is totally fair game, and I'd totally love to hear your requests!

So, long story short, I hope you guys enjoy this, and I look forward to any requests you guys send my way.  God bless!

  1. I have seen The Avengers 50 billzilion times but I'm going to watch it again away. =P Thanks for making this! Going to listen to the commentary later today after school! =)

  2. Yay, The Avengers. I'd say Hulk is my favorite. I haven't listened yet, but will soon.

  3. Love The Avengers and your commentary. Great job! =D Without a doubt this my favorite comic book film and in Top 10 in My Top 10 Films period.

Thor flies using his hammer, that is why he can fly. =)

Yes, the "There's only One God ma'am and I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that." line is great! I was completely shocked when I heard the line in theaters.

Iron Man suit weights about a literal ton (2000lbs).
Yes, I too think Sam L. Jackson is AWESOME!
I agree, Cap’s suit is great, I like Spangley outfits.

Much better on the audio quality this time, I could hear you clearly.
Bug zapper! LOL =D That was hilarious!
Asgardians can bleed, that was definitely blood on Loki’s magic knife, not a reflection. =)
OK here is a very long explanation of how Banner controls the Hulk: Tony mentioned that he might want to let go and embrace the Hulk, not try and hold it in. As you know, there are multiple versions of the Hulk, and not all versions are completely savage. Also at the end of the Incredible Hulk film, he appeared to almost control the Hulk. The reason why he could not control him earlier is that he was forced through pain to turn into the savage Hulk and Loki was also manipulating him. Hope that explains it. =)

I want to request that you commentary on The Lord of the Rings Extended Edition films but those are probably far too long for you to do it on though.

    1. Oooh, I'd love to do an LOTR extended edition commentary! ...if, y'know, you guys would like to hear me fangirl about LOTR for about four hours. lol =P

  4. The snake things are called Leviathan. They used to be called Jumbos, didn't sound menacing enough.
